You might not have heard of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel before, but get used to the name; you’ll definitely be seeing much more of the show after it won a total of eight awards at the 2018 Emmys.

The Amazon Prime series stars Rachel Bresnahan as Midge Maisel, who transforms from a housewife to a stand-up comedian. Set in New York in 1958, the show is directed by a woman - Amy Sherman-Palladin - and has a cast you'll fall in love with, including the brilliant Alex Borstein and Michael Zegen.

Bresnahan won the Emmys lead actress award, and in her epic acceptance speech pointed out that Maisel is a woman who is finding her voice - “something that's happening all over the country right now."

The awards speak for themselves, but Mrs. Maisel also has an impressive 94% rating on rotten tomatoes, and a huge following - including celebs like Halle Berry. Enough said.

Despite initially being commissioned for two series', Variety reports that a third is on the way after the show's success. So far, you can only watch series one on Amazon Prime, but the series two trailer was released in August, meaning new episodes should be on their way very soon.

For now, you can binge-watch all eight episodes by signing up to Amazon Prime.
