On Monday, Apple held a highly anticipated “Apple Event” where the company teased a slate of upcoming television shows (though, sadly, without providing trailers or much information about them). The event drew some major star power, as A-listers who will be fronting these various projects journeyed to Cupertino, many of them appearing on stage and providing some light banter. The star who perhaps earned the most applause and celebration from the audience was Oprah Winfrey, who will be working on a range of programming for the new service, which launches this fall.

However, now that we have seen the videos Oprah shared on her Instagram account later Monday night, we feel like Apple should renegotiate and ask if they can just run some sort of reality series where Oprah, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Garner, and Rashida Jones drink cocktails and chat about literally whatever they feel like. Yes, that’s what goes on in the two Instagram videos Oprah shared after the event during some kind of outdoor reception. Oprah tells Reese and Jen that they’re “Apple girls” now. (If Apple doesn’t now provide them varsity jackets with “Apple Girls” emblazoned on the shoulders, that’s another missed opportunity.) “I want a badge, I want a parking spot,” Jen says. “I want the circular elevator,” Reese adds. (What even is a circular elevator? We have no idea, but we desperately want one too.)

In a second video, Oprah hypes up the Reese–Jennifer Aniston program, The Morning Show, and cites the recent Gayle King interview with R. Kelly. Oprah and Reese evidence some delightful chemistry as they imitate the video (“Robert . . . Robert . . .”), with Reese doing her best Gayle impression. “[Gayle] was the calm in the eye of the storm,” Reese says.

We do have a few questions.

Where was Jennifer Aniston for all of this? We were desperately waiting for her cameo in these videos, which sadly never arrived. (Hopefully Oprah has some bonus footage to post over the remainder of the week.)

Why wasn’t Jennifer Garner on stage during the actual event?!?! She is working on a show with J.J. Abrams for the new service, and one would think if you have Jennifer Garner at your event, she shouldn’t just be hanging out in the audience!

There are a number of people who just walk behind this group, seemingly not even noticing them. Imagine walking closely behind Oprah, Reese, Jen, and Rashida and just . . . not even registering them—how?!
