Frida Kahlo 2020. The Cleve Carney Museum of Art is due to reopen after months of renovation works, and the place has taken on the ambitious challenge of hosting an extraordinary exhibition dedicated to the Mexican artist.
Frida Kahlo in the spotlight
We thought we were already experts on the works of art of Frida Kahlo, yet this new retrospective of her work will enlighten us even more on the feminist figure. The Cleve Carney Museum of Art in Chicago is already generating interest after it announced the opening of a major exhibition dedicated to the Mexican artist. For its reopening after many months of refurbishing work, the American museum is coming back with gusto. 26 original works will be exhibited and skilfully placed in dialogue with key moments from her life, including highlights and somber moments. As well as the precious paintings and archives which will be displayed, this exhibition, which is already establishing itself as one of 2020's biggest events, seeks to shed light on the woman behind the brilliant artist who fought all her life for freedom in love and in art. Excited? Us too.
