Out Now Live

them. is proud to have presented Out Now Live, our inaugural virtual pride celebration. The live broadcast event is now archived and available to watch on YouTube. Check it out below. It includes performances, uplifting speeches, storytelling, messages, and more from prominent members of the LGBTQ+ community and notable allies. It is also an ongoing fundraiser for the Ali Forney Center, a New York City-based organization that aids LGBTQ+ youth.

Pride celebrations around the world have been cancelled and postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, and some are planning to take shape as demonstrations for racial justice. To express our pride from home and honor our community’s progress, Out Now Live features stories and educational vignettes centering LGBTQ+ history and activism from the 1970s to now.

In the face of nationwide Black Lives Matter and anti-racism protests, it is more important than ever for us to acknowledge and uplift the LGBTQ+ voices and figures who have paved the way for all of us. As a community, we owe our legacy to the Black trans women and queer people of color who have long been leaders in the movement for LGBTQ+ rights, and Out Now Live centered their stories throughout the program.

The event included appearances from Adam Lambert, Alok Vaid-Menon, Antoni Porowski, Ashlyn Harris & Ali Krieger, Billy Eichner, Bob the Drag Queen, Bretman Rock, Cara Delevingne, Carly Rae Jepsen, Cynthia Nixon, Elton John & David Furnish, Evan Rachel Wood, Guillermo Díaz, Hayley Kiyoko, Holland, Ianne Fields Stewart, Indya Moore, Jason Bolden, Jazz Jennings, Jordan Roth, Josie Totah, Judith Light, Julio Torres, Lea DeLaria, Michael Kors, Nyle DiMarco, Pabllo Vittar, Pedro Julio Serrano, Raven-Symoné, Shangela, Stacy London, Tituss Burgess, Tommy Dorfman, Victor Garber, Whoopi Goldberg, Wilson Cruz, Zac Posen, and Zachary Quinto.

them. teamed up with fellow Condé Nast brand Pitchfork to curate musical performances by King Princess and Princess Nokia, who joined in the for Pitchfork Stage as part of the event.

“The LGBTQ+ community has always risen in the face of adversity to inspire, create, and organize on our own terms, and this year is no different,” said Whembley Sewell, them.'s Executive Editor. “As a vibrant and resilient community, we will still boldly and beautifully take pride in how far we've come, and together continue to work towards the world we most want to see for one another."
